How many distortion pedals does a guy need ?

  • all i have right now is a boss DS1
    so is this really all i need interms for distortion pedals?? (i dont play metal)

    i was looking at the vox satchurator..loks pretty cool


  • Rule #1 in music, keep it simple.
    Boss DS-1 pedal is great as a distortion pedal and output boost, so thats all you should really need.


  • you need an amp with distortion built in when you can play that like a pro then you should consider finding pedals and what have you. A common misconception is that you need more pedals than frets on your guitar. What is it with you people? buying more pedals than you shake a plectrum at LOL
