Exams.... Please Help!!!?

  • Okay I am such an idiot and I only have less than one week before my exams start. I have 8 subjects- Maths, English, Chemistry, Biology, Business Management,
    French, Art and History.

I am so stupid at the first five: Maths, English, Chemistry, Biology, Business Management- and I just don't know what to do apart from revise non-stop. I am especially crap at maths as there is so much to remember.
I'm becoming so damn stressed out, thinking that I will fail (and I probably will). Anyone have any advice?

  • peel the onion one step at a time.
You need to relax because panicking is definetly not going to help.
You're gonna have to memorize as much as possible for some of those subjects.. I'd worry the least about English

  • first take a deep breath and calm down...all hope is not lost. split up your time wisely...if you have 4 days, study at least 2 subjects a day. there are 24 hrs in a day...youll get through it. for the subjects that your not so good at...spend more time studying for them and really understand everything instead of trying to memorize everything cause on test day...youll forget everything...answer the question why? and such..trust me, it'll help. just split up your time wisely and dont waste a second thinking about how your gonna fail...and try not to study with anyone else cause your probably going to get distracted and gossip instead of study, which is not something you want to be doing right now. and if you really really dont understand something go online and find an interactive tutor...that helps too

    good luck

  • do as following:-
    1) Go into ur study room
    2) Sit on the floor
    3) Close ur eyes
    4) relax and take a deep breath
and say to exam "GO TO HELL"

  • Break your work down in to manageable chunks - 1 hour on Maths, next on Biology etc. Write down the key things you need to learn today and go through it. Just don't panic. Things are so much easier if you put it into perspective.

I always found practice exams or essays were the best way to take info in - get your hands on a few practice exams and if you cant do them then learn the answers to the questions.

Also, try and speak to your course mates, maybe they will let you photocopy their revision notes? Also, try and talk about the information with your family or fellow students, explaining and talking about things helps you remember.

If you are panicking also talk to your teacher, tell them you can't take anything in and ask them for tips - they will want you to do well.

Work hard and don't panic, good luck.

  • Don't push yourself too much. If you stay up revising for hours, you're not going to do yourself any good. Make sure you take regular breaks and always keep yourself hydrated. If it gets too stress full, put it down for a while and go back to it later. Don't got to bed too late before the exam as well! A good nights sleep is always advisable! (:

  • Calm down and write down what you know. Then find the stuff you don't particularly know and revise that.
Or with a friend, write down the start of some questions, put them in a bag and then pick one at random. Finish the sentence and it's a more fun way of revising!

    Good luck!

  • ur going to have to literally do nothing else but study..if you go to school i would even advise you to ask ur parents to let you stay home a few days so you can catch up on studyinh
u'll need to drink coffee coz its going to be a long, sleepless week
u should eat alot, to gain energy
which one do you have first? start studying for the one you have first, and study like a maniac, lock urself in ur room, no music!!
things like art and french and maths probably wont need that much studying coz its not really in detail, so focus more on history, business and the sciences
literall study every minute of the day
u'll be fine as long as ur mature enough to understand the need of non stop studying and actually study

  • Say to your teacher can you retake the test next year so you get one extra year to revise.

  • mine are tomorrow. just take it easy. study but take breaks (like i am now), go outside to get fresh air every 30 mins. go back in and revise by writing out 15-20 points about each chapter in each subject. i do that like 5 days before all my exams and do quite well.

  • study!!!!!!with!!!!!!!!a!!!!!!!!!friend!...

  • lol i did my gcses in the summer i know exactly how you feel

first, break up your subjects into the individual topics that you have to know about - like for biology, it has different subtitles in the contents of revision books

then work through that topic, all in one go. with breaks obviously. i found that if i tried to do one hour of maths then one of chemistry and then one of whatever, i wouldnt actually get that much done of each subject, if your mind is on one subject, dont change to another, it keeps a train of thought going and i learnt more.

dont stress out, my friend did, she made herself ill, got worse grades than she wouldve done if she had had a positive attitude. dont think you wil fail, think that you will do the best you can in the time you have left.

    also
dont study with a friend, it never works, even if people say they have learnt alot, they havent, it doesnt stick
also becuase, if theyre not as clever as you, you wont do the learning they will be making you explain what you already know
and if theyre cleverer than you well youll be stopping them from revising, and thats not fair

remember to take breaks, drink lots of water, and take some time off in the evening before you go to bed to wind down, watch a tv program or something, treat yourself for working hard
get a good nights sleep and get up early, setting a routine

    good luck :)

  • Chill down. Chill down.
    It'll be ok.
    Take a deep breath.
Study a subject for an hour, take a break for a half hour, study for an hour, take a break for a half hour, etc.
Study the ones you are sure your not good at.
Do the ones your pretty good at, last.
Dont try to rush and study the night before.
    Good luck (:
